2017 BSA National Jamboree

The Jamboree is a peak scouting experience.  It is held at the BSA’s Summit Reservation in West Virginia with nearly 50,000 scouts from all over the country.  In addition, the trip is part of the adventure.  There will be a stop at Gettysburg on the way down and Hershey Park on the way back.  More information is available here – www.jamboree.oldcolonycouncil.org

To be eligible to attend the 2017 Jamboree, a scout must be 12 years old by the first day of the trip and have attained First Class Rank.

Eagle Project – George Bryan

Hi Scouts-

I am starting phase one of my Eagle Scout Project. My project is to connect the three existing trails in the George M. Ingram Park.

Scouts will be needed to clear a trail and construct a bridge over wetlands. This is a great opportunity to get service hours for scouts looking to advance ranks!

I will meet everyone at Heritage Lane (located off Beachwood street) at 10:30 am. Please bring gloves, clippers, loppers and trimmers if owned. Also wear long pants, long shirt and close toed shoes. Pizza and drinks will be served.

Please let me know if you are able to help out.

Thanks,

George
