Rock Climbing

03/13/2014

This year, many scouts went rock climbing; David Hillman, Dylan Marat, Eoghan Casey, JC Centeio, Jeff Rosen, Joe Suzedell, John Clay, Josh Liberty, Josh Rosen, Liam Geyer, Quentin Hill, Sully Mulhern, T.J. Coffey, Tyler Holley, Tyler Mulhern, and Zander Arnold. Adult volunteers included Mr. Geyer, Mr. Hill, Mrs. Hillman, and Mrs. Mulhern. It was at the same place as the last year (Boston Rock Gym). All of the scouts enjoyed the trip. Most of us used the regular rock walls, but some used the bouldering cave or rock climbing treadmill. We were there for about 2 hours, but even so it was hard to convince everybody to leave, because they had so much fun!

Klondike Derby

01/25/2014

This year only 4 scouts went on the Klondike Derby, mostly those in the Spartan patrol. Their names are as follows; Joe Donohue, Alex Fever, Marcus Rowland, and Joe Suzedell. There were also many helpful adult volunteers on this trip too. This was the first Klondike Derby of which troop 28 held a station (measurement). We held a practice the Monday earlier (January 20), which was planned very wisely. As a result we got some very good scores at many of the stations. Our best was at river crossing. Hopefully next time, more scouts will come.

Cub Scout Halloween Party

10/31/2013

This year, many boy scouts helped with the Haunted House at the Cub Scout Halloween Party: Amby Tierny, Brodie Jackish, David Hillman, Gavin Dunkelburger, Jack Norton, Jeff Rosen, Joe Suzedell, Ryan Conforti, Sully Mulhern, Tommy Olson, Tyler Mulhern, and Zander Arnold. The Cub Scouts got scared, but had fun anyway! Everyone worked very well. Some of us brought new ideas and props that hadn’t been used before. We had a good time, and did the Haunted House better than ever before!
