At its annual meeting in July, the Old Colony Council of the Boy Scouts of America installed Robert D. Hillman of Cohasset as its President. The Old Colony Council is chartered by the Boy Scouts of America to administer the BSA’s programs in 41 cities and towns south and west of Boston, including Plymouth County, and southern Norfolk County. The Council charters 197 Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, Venturing Crews and Explorer Posts that provide scouting for nearly 6,000 youth and 2,000 adult volunteers.

Cohasset High School senior Nick Rosen, 17 didn’t know it, but he was born a leader. He might never have found out if not for Boy Scouts. After more than a decade of scouting, Rosen had his Eagle Board of Review on Monday and was promoted to the rank of Eagle Scout.
